Three Counties Bus and Commercial Vehicle Museum
Mission Statement
To enable the public to learn about all aspects of past road public passenger transport, and of
past commercial vehicle operation, by establishing within the area of Bedfordshire,
Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire one or more operational or static museums of transport and
archaeology.
In order to achieve these aims for these vehicles, it is intended to:
Secure permanent or temporary undercover premises, in which vehicles can be stored and
restored. Some or all of the premises will be open to the public on a regular or on an
occasional basis to enable visiting members of the public the opportunity to learn about the
vehicles
Own or lease the above premises, and own, operate or maintain historic buses and commercial
vehicles
Hold events, both on and off the public highway, at which the public will have the
opportunity to learn about the vehicles
Offer a programme of meetings and lectures, open to the public, which will explain the
operation, maintenance and historical context of buses, coaches and commercial vehicles
Support the activities of other bodies where the activities are consistent with the above
aims.
In order to persue these activities, it is intended to establish a charitable trust. As a
limited company, this will be capable of holding property and other assets in its own right.
