President - Ian Pearce
Ian is a producer with the BBC, on Three Counties Radio. Ian is interested in all forms of transport both past and present. A
long term supporter of the group's aims and objectives, he helps our voice to be heard.
Chairman - Malcolm Skevington
Malcolm has worked with large vehicles all his life. A childhood love of commercial vehicles led him to a job in this sphere of work. He has recently retired from the service department of Chassis Developments in Leighton Buzzard, while he is carrying out a long term restoration of a rare London Transport Leyland Cub at home. Luckily for Malcolm, he has the benefit of a large garden! Malcolm is keen to increase awareness of the Three Counties group, and looks forward to building on the success that the late Dave Johnson had started to create.
Secretary - Gerry Serpill-Morris
Gerry was born and brought up in Bristol whose Tramways and Carriage Company ensured an early interest in all things
related to buses. His collection of road transport tickets resides in part at the Bristol Industrial Museum, and has an
interest in the history of the Black & White Motorways company. A Bristol MW coach fills some of the retirement
of this erstwhile senior lecturer in special education.
Treasurer - Nigel Adams
Nigel has been active with the group since its inception, and is involved with the preservation of two well-known
local vehicles. The first is ex-United Counties Bristol Lodekka KBD 712D and the other is ex-United Counties ex-Luton
Corporation Bristol RE UXD 129G. He has also been involved with the British Bus Preservation Group.
Membership Secretary & Events Co-ordinator - Roy Warren
Owner of RF457, a Red (Central Area) London AEC Regal IV. Hailing originally from London, Roy has a passion for all
things LT related. As well as partial involvement with other members vehicles in the group, Roy also has been a mainstay in
the organising of our own vehicle rally at the Marston Moretaine Forest Centre.
Committee Member - Martin Hawkins
Martin is a aircraft pilot with British Midland Airways and a local councillor in the village of Clophill, Beds. He is also
part-owner of Leyland Leopard SOA 674S, as well as owning a classic Austin Seven. He was elected to the committee to provide
advice on accommodation and planning matters, as well as general help with his extensive experience and knowledge.
Committee Member - Mick Rolley
Mick has driven buses all over the country, and thus has an interest in many well known
operators. Having worked in the licenced trade for many years, Mick has recently retired and now
has more time to devote to his favourite hobby. He owns a rare 5 cylinder Bristol FS, OVL 473,
originally new to Lincolnshire Road Car.
Committee Member - John Clarke
John is a London Transport enthusiast with much experience of owning and restoring vintage
vehicles. His current vehicle is ex-London Transport Country Area Guy Special MXX 332, GS 32,
which he has restored over a number of years. John has a job that many enthusiasts would die
for, Site and Carriage Engineer and deputy to the Chief Mechanical Engineer at the
Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, Quainton!
Committee Member - Derek Ramsbottom
Derek has spent a working life of over 50 years with commercial vehicles as a driver, mechanic and electrician. He will be
well-known from his series of reminiscences published in the Museum's Newsletter. His speciality is marine engines.
Honorary Webmaster - Jonathan Wilkins
Jonathan is a native of the northern fringe of the London Transport country area. A specialist in computers
and geology, and a practising X-ray crystallographer, he now lives in North Wales, but uses
the power of the Internet to keep in touch with his roots and interests. His active preservation
interests are fully occupied with a 1970's AEC Swift and a 1920's house.
